The goals of the Women and Allies in Entomology breakfast are to connect and inspire those who attend and serve as a vehicle to bring awareness to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) stories that aren’t being told. In pursuit of those goals this year we have asked two speakers to share short stories they submitted in an online request. Christine Elliott will tell her story of gender penalties in the time of COVID and Cliff Keil will share about his inspiring mentor, Dr. Mary Harvey Ross. In addition to these stories we will hold some times for a couple of brief presentations from related organization to help promote awareness of their activities and goals.
Complimentary for the first 155 student and early-career professional members who arrive to the breakfast event on Monday morning. We are also celebrating the eighth anniversary of student and early-career sponsorship at the breakfast by Corteva.
