Scientist Syngenta Crop Protection LLC Research Triangle Park, North Carolina
My journey from Africa to America in 1996 was possible with the help of Dr. Elvis “ Short” Heinrichs, my former supervisor at the AfricaRice (formerly West African Rice Development Association) in Cote D’Ivoire. He introduced me to one of his good friends, Dr. John E. Foster, University of Nebraska-Lincoln, NE, my major supervisor, and the rest is history. After completing my graduate studies in Entomology, I was hired by Dr. Bruce Hibbard, USDA, University of Missouri-Columbia, MO, as a Post-Doctoral Research Scientist to work on corn rootworm projects. After an exciting time with him, I was hired by Dr. Dǔska Stojšin, as the Trait Development Entomologist at Bayer (Monsanto) Chesterfield, MO. Then, Dr. Ryan Kurtz, (now at Cotton Incorporated) hired me as the Insect Trait Resistance Management Specialist, Syngenta Crop Protection LLC, Research Triangle Park, NC. Currently, I am the Insect Trait Resistance Management Scientist for North America.
