Beneficial insects are an important component of agricultural biodiversity that contribute to crop productivity around the world. Unfortunately, due to habitat loss, lack of floral resources, and an increase in broad-spectrum insecticide use, we are at a risk of losing many of our beneficial insects and the services that they provide. This talk will discuss how researchers have worked with farmers to enhance floral resources in agricultural landscapes by establishing native wildflower strips that help support native pollinators and insect natural enemies.
