Entomologists and ecologists have begun to recognize the value of urban areas, the world’s fastest-growing habitat type, in forecasting plant-insect interactions under anthropogenic disturbance. This hybrid symposium highlights the transformative work analyzing urban ecosystems as models for insects in a changing world and the adaptive management resulting from this research.
