The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) is currently preparing its Sixth Assessment Report (AR6) on Climate Change. Climate-related risks to health, livelihoods, food security, water supply, human security, and economic growth will likely be projected to increase. In relation to entomology, this poses threats in the form of expansion of suitable habitats to new areas for many damaging insect pests species, particularly insects with vectoral capacity. Critical issues given APHIS and the federal governments' expanded focus on readiness and ability to respond to emerging and zoonotic diseases, under the American Rescue Plan. Examples where the movement of these insects populations pose a threat to agriculture, public and animal health will be discussed, and potential interventions that can help reduce the potentially negative impact. The "Internet Of Things" (IOT), provides phone apps allowing tracking, use & sharing of “big data” sets to survey and help control insects. By connecting Food Security, Human and Animal Health, bringing together disciplines and implementers under a One Health lens, further linkages of implementation programmes to streamline cost if possible. Providing early warning systems, and sustainable impact with less.
