The ability to effectively communicate scientific information is central to most entomological professions. It is also critical for improving public understanding of science, and ultimately, reaching science policy objectives. The goal of this workshop is to help participants develop detailed strategies for communicating scientific information. Participants will work in groups on specific scenarios outlining a communication objective and a target audience. A framework provided by the organizers will help participants identify details about communication goals, stakeholders, and modes of engagement that are fundamental to a clear and effective communication strategy. The skills developed during this workshop will be generalizable to any communication context.
