Short term host adaptation in Diaphorina citri

Diaphorina citri is the vector of huanglongbing in citrus. Migration is a key step in moving the disease from one plant to another. However, in many cases there is no guarantee that the new host will be the same cultivar as the natal host. Using electropenetrography we look at behavioral changes in host switching and show that behavior on the new host converges to the behavior of psyllids who remain on the natal host.
