Many of us may be considered experts in our field, but some of our fields are larger than others. As an urban entomologist situated in a county office in Nebraska, with a 100% extension appointment, my subject matter knowledge and response to local issues has expanded greatly. Learning to be adaptable, responsive, and connected with stakeholders in an ever-changing environment, provides both challenge and reward.
