Insecticide resistance management (IRM) is conceptually simple but difficult to implement because of logistical and economic barriers. Technology developers, academia and extension, consultants and - of course - growers must all play active roles for IRM programs to be successful. Therefore coordination amongst these different groups is pivotal to IRM and organizations like the Insecticide Resistance Action Committee (IRAC) help to make this happen. This presentation addresses some of the resaons why coordination among stakeholders is so important for IRM and what IRAC does in this area.
