This presentation examines the role of economic incentives in insect resistance management (IRM). It considers the role of economics in IRM practice adoption at the individual farm level. It also, though, considers the role of economic incentives in areawide coordination, input dealer marketing strategies, agrichemical industry R&D strategies, the design of stewardship incentive programs, and effects of federal agricultural programs.
