The Daniel L. Gustafson Aquatic Invertebrates Collection in the Montana Entomology Collection at Montana State University contains over one million specimens of aquatic or semi-aquatic invertebrates from Montana and the Rocky Mountains and Great Plains regions. It includes specimens of insects, crustaceans, gastropods, bivalves, and annelids. Current efforts to database the collection have yielded 10,000 lots representing over 70,000 specimens from 18 invertebrate orders. An estimated 200,000 lots remain to be digitized.
