The order Odonata contains a vast amount of ancient color. This color may, based on preliminary data, be a driver for evolution. Generating a large enough database of recorded odonate color to answer this question presents an issue due to the groups tendency to lose their color. We have cultivated a group of data collection techniques that, in tandem, should yield enough recorded color for us to proceed with our larger goals.
