Conducting experimental trials on mosquito larvae mortality after exposure to numerous wood shaving mixtures. I am testing the effects of different wood shavings on 1st instar mosquitos. I was assigned with hatching the mosquito eggs, counting and sorting the mosquito larvae, and counting the mortality rate of different wood shavings. After initial trails were run, further testing was done with the wood shavings dissolved in different solutions at varying concentrations. Potential findings could lead to further research on new natural insecticide methods.
